I want to thank Do Joo Nim and Master Lee for taking the time and energy to get on a plane and come to the Midwest to share their knowledge with us at this year's seminar in Madison. I learned so many things that as an orange belt, I didn't expect to learn for years. It was such a great experience. I have recently moved to Los Angeles and I live within a block of a Hwa Rang academy on Pico Blvd. My biggest challenge in life has been discipline. I disciplined myself enough to quit drinking, lose almost a hundred pounds and became a personal fitness trainer. Now I want to move to the next level of body awareness. Is this a good system for men over six feet tall and bulky?

I just wanted to say I have been doing a LOT of research on martial arts lately. I myself studied a style for 9 years, until the schools in Minnesota closed. In today's society in America, there are a lot of "fake schools" and a lot of charlatan instructors, but I can't find anything bad about Hwa Rang Do. I met with Instructor Dylan here in Minnesota, and he seems very sincere, which is why I am planning to join. However, before I decided to join I spent several days digging for information to find out if there were any horror stories about the Hwa Rang Do schools. I cannot find any. Not a single one. It is good to know that there is at least one reputable school in America. I look forward to learning this art.

Hi, My name is Don Nguyen, and I'm currently practicing HwaRang Do at the only school in Florida. I am practicing under Master Ki Tae Yum. He has become the best role model toward everyone in our school. My instructors, Jessie and Michael are the best instructors and have become more like friends then instructors. Down in our school, when Master Ki Tae Yum teaches, it is like "gold". You want to keep it forever and never take what you learn for granted. I am currently a green belt (which is the highest belt that is currently in our school since it is new), but belts don't really mean anything. What really matters is how you use what you learn. I realize it takes years to master a color belt. "You can never perfect what you learn in a belt." is what my instructors said. When Master Ki Tae Yum was doing combination white belt hand techniques on me and when he was doing form, I truly understood why he was what he is. When he does everything, its like its been perfected. I've never met a role model like Master Ki Tae Yum or my instructors, because everything that they do, they perfect even more so that they truly understand the way of Hwa Rang. Hwa Rang! HwarangDo is the way to go. I'm proud to be one of the first adults to be in HwarangDo in the state of Florida. Maybe one day I'll meet you other HwarangDo Students in a tournament. Yes i love the website and everything that contains in it but i also would love to learn HwaRangDo, the only problem is the closest dojang is in the phillipines ..... Hello everyone, I just wanted to stop by and say that Hwa Rang Do is the only martial art for me and it completes me as a person, meeting my mental, physical and spiritual needs. Doo Joo Nim is the greatest martial artist the world has ever seen, and we are priveledged to have the opportunity to be in his presence. Chief Head Master Henry Taejoon Lee is no far behind. He also is an excellent motivator with a commanding presence. If only our world leaders were as just and honrable as these men, what a place the world would be. Oh, and everyone look out for K-Town Cowboys, it's gonna be awesome!

Im just passin by to say that the HwaRangDo web site is one of the BEST Martial arts sites around. I have been doing taekwondo for 7 years and im sick of it. All we do now in wtf taekwondo is kick mits and not practice forms or techniqes. Im hoping Hwarangdo will come to MELBOURNE WITHIN 3 YEARS so that Melbournce martials artist can get a chance to learn an original martial art and not ineffective sport side martial arts.
