The average person takes about 2 ½ to 3 years to achieve
the rank of Black Belt in Tae Soo Do®.
After this Tae Soo Do®
graduation, the student enters the Hwa Rang Do®
program as a Yellow Sash. It will then take the average student
another 3 to 4 years to achieve a first degree Black Sash in Hwa
Rang Do®.
It should be mentioned though, that the harder you train the faster
you progress, as one's achievements are based upon the level of
dedication an individual has.
Below you can see the Stage of Growth that the student will go
through as he or she progresses through the curriculum of the
arts. If you have previous experience in other arts (more than
1 to 2 years) you will be able to enter directly into the Hwa
Rang Do®
program. Through this standardized curriculum there is something
to learn no matter you age or previous level of experience.
